A late Georgian bookcase/bureau in a rich mahogany with Astral glass panes. It has 3 adjustable shelves and 2 over 2 drawers underneath the Bureau. The Bureau consists of 3 small drawers and 8 vertical, 3 horizontal pigeon holes. The leather to the top is green with a lovely worn patina which has a gilt lining border. The frieze across the top and the bottom is beautifully carved and the brass tear drop handles are a sign of quality. One of the key holes is missing its brass lining but it does have keys to fit all locks! There is a small crack in one of the Astral panes as I have photographed which is hardly noticeable. We discussed replacing it but the glass is so gorgeously undulated due to its age that we felt this would spoil it. condition

Good Condition - there are two small cracks to the glass as I have tried to show in the photographs. We thought about replacing it but it is old glass and is beautifully undulated. We felt it would spoil it to add two brand new panels.
