Late Victorian Lambing Chair Settle

Pine wood Lambing Chair often referred to as a settle was prevalent throughout England between 1750 to 1850. Although called a Lambing Chair many of these types of Chair were made and used as Country Fireside Chairs and not as legend has it for Shepherds whilst Lambing season was on, although that is not to say this did not happen as in this time and Country environment most Furniture had many uses.
