A good quality cased set of surgical amputation equipment in complete excellent condition, this includes implements by Brady & Martin Ltd and J. Gray & Son of Sheffield. Dating to around 1900, it is late Victorian or early Edwardian and will appeal to any collector of medical scientific instruments.
- Two largest blades are one piece steel with fluted handles.
- Smaller implements are marked for Brady & Martin, with the large saw marked for J. Gray & Son.
- Heavy mahogany case with working lock and key.
- Brass screw tourniquet.
- Suture needles in small compartment with wax lump.
- Clean brass box cartouche.
In good condition showing wear consistent with age and use.
