Description
A stylish Victorian silver brooch of good size set with panels of red jasper agate and bloodstone. Designed in the form of a horseshoe, popular in Victorian times, the brooch has a detailed hobnail border and would have been given and worn as a symbol of good luck. Agate decoration on jewellery reflected Queen Victoria's love of all things Scottish. This lovely statement piece is larger than usual size and secured with a 'C' clasp.
