Liverpool Pennington Porcelain Large Exotic Bird Pattern Sauce Boat c.1770
A good Liverpool porcelain press moulded sauce boat by John & Jane Pennington, c.1770, with double scrolled handle, reeded, shaped rim ad set on a mounded pedestal foot. Decorated in chinoiserie style with the Large Exotic Bird pattern on one side, and a smaller image of a house with fenced garden, and barley ear border to the inside of the rim.
Reference: Liverpool Porcelain by Bernard Watney, figure 336 shows a very similar example.

Condition is excellent. There is a tiny chip under the foot and a small firing line within the foot rim. No other damage, repair or restoration and very minor handling wear.
