An original and genuine L.N.E.R. railway clock with fully documented history.
The clock was originally installed at the Adwick Level Crossing where the East coast main line crossed the Dearne Valley Railway.
It is interesting to contemplate how many times the great Flying Scotsman would have passed within feet of this very clock.
The solid oak case retains all of it's features, having only been cleaned and waxed by us in order to preserve it's provenance. It has inspection doors to both the side and the base.
The white painted dial has black Roman numerals with an inner 24hr, Arabic numeral clock in red. It is clearly marked with the L.N.E.R. logo and the serial number 7326. This serial number is identified in the records shown. It has a brass bezel with silvered sight ring and bevel edged glass.
The 8 day, chain-driven, fusee movement has just been fully overhauled by our BHI registered (9th generation) horologist and carries our usual 12mths full parts and labour guarantee.
Working perfectly and keeping perfect time, this clock is ready to be hung on the wall and go straight to work.
A genuine piece of true railway momorabilia worthy of perpetual preservation.
