Fretted gilt mounts to the front and base and standing on adjustable feet. A convex enamel dial signed 'Louis Goret a Paris' with Roman numerals and 5 minute outer dial markers. A rare feature of days of the week and days of the month to the dial with blued steel pointers. Fine quality gilt fretted hands. An 8-day duration mechanism with an outside count wheel and silk suspension. Bell striking to the 1/2 hours and hours. Circa 1760. Louis Goret of Paris is listed in Tardys' 'Horologers Francais' book as working in Paris from 1754.
