Description
A wonderful late 19th Century silver mounted scent bottle, probably French in origin. The body is of 'penny' shape and is crafted in gorgeous turquoise opaline glass. The silver lid is hinged and secured by a swivel clasp, with a ring for use on a chatelaine or fob chain. Inside is the unusual and original matching opaline peg stopper. The top is unmarked but tests as silver. A rare and particularly lovely example and a great collector's piece.
