Description
A very pretty fine Royal Worcester porcelain coffee cup and saucer beautifully painted with autumnal floral sprays of vetch, yew, heather and wild roses. The handle has moulded detail and is decorated with gilt leaf accents and both pieces are finished with a gilt dentil rim. Factory marks printed to the reverse dating for 1878/1879 and the saucer also with an impressed mark and both have the painted pattern number 8173.
measurements
The cup measures 7cm (2 3/4") high and 7.6cm (3") rim to rim and the saucer measures 13.6cm (5 3/8") wide.
