Mahal Rug Carpet c.1930

This is a lovely antique Mahal carpet with a really attractive colour palette and a good design dating from the early 20th century circa 1930. The strawberry red field of palmettes, flower heads and vines is centred by a flower head framed by charcoal borders of angular meandering vines. The carpet is in good order overall with some areas of low pile. This has a very appealing colour combination and attractive Mahal design.
