Mahogany Bracket Clock Signed M.Beal Sheffield

This bracket clock although quite plane is still nice. The mahogany case is in good condition having has a small repair to the fret work on the side. The case has been cleaned to a high standard while still maintaining its original finish. The 5 inch off white dial is in good order. The single fusee 8 day movement is of great quality with the added features of maintaining power has been fully serviced by Westmorland Glass-Steam Mill Clocks and works as it should without fault. The broken arched dial with the slow/fast regulation to the top is signed M.Beal Sheffield, Michael Beal and son was born in 1810 and had quite the career in Sheffield being recorded at 4 different addresses from 1830-1850 given these records I would date this clock around 1840+/- This clock all in all is a genuine original piece.
