An extremely high quality regulator longcase clock dating to the Edwardian period. It has a solid mahogany case of simple lines, having a canted top, with curved corners throughout the case, a long door with a thick bevel edge glass and crystal cut engraved starburst in the centre. The base also has a window to see when the brass weights require re-winding. The 12 inch silvered dial mask surrounds a 10 inch dial, with a finely engraved centre and a subsidiary seconds dial. The clock has a very substantial 8 day movement with a dead beat escapement, maintaining powers and sounds the hours and halves on a soft and sonorous chime bar. The metal wood pendulum and brass weights can bee seen through the glass doors. Although unsigned, the movement is by a high quality English maker. The case is in excellent original good condition, the movement has been fully serviced and is guaranteed for 12 months. If you would like a video clip of this clock working please email.
