Lovely Edwardian ebonised hard wood and hallmarked silver dress walking stick or cane. The silver was assayed in London as shown in the pictures, date letter for 1901 and makers mark for Mappin & Webb. Super quality as you'd expect from this maker, you don't see many of their canes come up for sale. Lovely mushroom shaped silver top sitting into a plain collar that has band detail to the top and bottom. Although short in length the shaft is strong and would offer good support for either a lady or gentleman. The ferrule is made of brass. Please contact us with any questions you may have.
It measures 88 cm 34 5/8 inches in length, the pommel is 2.9 cm 1 1/8 inches wide and 2.9 cm 1 1/8 inches long.
