Fascinating Royal Doulton stoneware vase designed by Mark V. Marshall decorated with scrolling stylised leaves in autumnal colours, and personalized with someone's initials E.F.V.F. incised to the body. Underneath the Royal Doulton markers mark, the signatures of Mark V Marshal and his assistant Jane Hurst, the model number 445. Produced between 1902-1912.
Mark Marshall was quite possibly the most original and creative designer in the history of Doultons. He worked at Doulton's from 1878 to 1912, and from the beginning of his career there, his imagination was unrestrained. The diversity of his output was amazing
