Description
Fabulous Masonic Gentleman's Sterling silver (fully hallmarked) pocket watch chain large Antique fob. C~1916. Measures; 3.5cm height (including the top ring), 2.5cm width and weighs 3 grams. Beautifully adorned to the front with an attractive engine turned 'zig zag' decoration to the circumference holding to centre a pair of protractors and set square to centre. The back is smooth and highly polished (free from any initials or inscriptions) and is fully hallmarked to base within different shaped, fancy recessed cartouches with the Lion passant (Sterling silver), Three Ears Of Corn (Chester assay) and uppercase fancy letter; Q - dating to 1916. Also stamped with the makers initials (again within a recessed cartouche); J&R. Robust top ring to attach to a Masonic Gentleman's pocket watch chain. Excellent clean and bright condition with no wear or indentations and just a tiny (micro) bit of overall patina and fine little surface scratches commensurate with age.
