Description
Gentleman's English Sterling silver (fully hallmarked) Antique Masonic fob for a pocket watch chain. C~ Hallmarked 1915. Measures; 3.4cm height (including the top ring), 2.4cm wide and weighs 3.1 grams. Wonderful circular shaped fob which is beautifully adorned to the front circumference with an engine turned scroll work adornment. Decorated to centre with a pair of protractors and set square below, having a capital letter; G (God) within. The back is smooth, highly polished and free from any inscriptions or initials. Fully hallmarked (with different shaped, fancy recessed cartouches) with the Lion passant (Sterling silver), anchor (Birmingham assay) and lowercase letter; q - dating to 1915. Also stamped with the makers initials (again within a fancy, recessed cartouche); C.P & Co. Solid silver top ring to attach to a Masonic Gentleman's pocket watch chain. Excellent clean and bright condition with just a tiny bit of overall wear/patina/fine surface scratches commensurate with age.
