Massive Malacca wood and hallmarked silver walking stick or cane. The silver was assayed in London as shown in the pictures, date letter for 1919 and makers mark for J Howell & Co Ltd. Lovely large silver top, plain with no decoration. The ferrule is original and made of polished buffalo horn. Perfect cane for every day use and strong enough to take a good deal of weight. It's in excellent condition but with some signs of age and use as you'd expect at this age. Some bumps, scratches and pitting to the silver as shown. Small split along the seam line that has been professionally stabilised. Perfect cane for every day use and strong enough to take a good deal of weight.
