Meiji Period Carved Jardinière of Generous Proportions

A Meiji period, stained jardinière of generous proportions, the dish shaped top with foliate carving on the inside and a profusely carved fore-edge, the outside with further carving and beading with a flared body entwined by a fully carved dragon with foliate carving to the sides, all resting on four elegant cabriole legs with foliate carved toes resting on a circular platform base with scratch and floral carving to the centre, decoration on the sides sitting on four animal feet with carved quarter blocks, all with great colour, clean and sturdy.
