A gorgeous silver brooch, dating from the 1850's. This superb piece has an oval shaped silver body, cased in navy blue enamel to the front and overlaid with sprays of flowers set with paste diamonds. The reverse is cut with a starburst and the pin is secured with a 'C' clasp. The brooch is not marked and tests as silver. A wonderful early example of Victorian jewellery, still wearable today.
