Mid 19th Century Walnut & Figured Walnut Salon Stool

This is a very good and useful mid 19th century walnut and figured walnut sturdy salon stool having serpentine sides & ends and of good colour and patination. The (later) upholstered pink dralon drop in seat (with minor usage markings) is above a 'flattened', serpentine sided top and in turn, is over serpentine figured friezes and moulded corner ends leading to moulded cabriole legs terminating in french style scrolls. Condition-wise, overall very good with only some small pieces of veneer away commensurate with age, a few replaced patches of veneer, minor scuffs and one leg historically re-strengthened with glue (inside, on bracing block). The stool measures 61.5 cm (widest), 43 cm (deepest) and 44.5 cm high. This good-looking fine piece of period walnut furniture is sturdy and fit for usage and is in very good condition considering its approx. 175 years of age.
