Description
This hallmarked good gauge silver cigarette case has a robust catch, a very good hinge and comes complete with the retaining strap. Both halves of the case are engine turned, the front carrying a cartouche engraved with a monogram ‘Jy’. The interior is gilt lined and bears the inscription “J.V. Young J/C.,A.T.S., O.C. “B” Coy. With best wishes from All Ranks. 10-8-45”
