Description
During the 1970s Lladro successfully perfected their premium, exclusive brand, but they recognized a massive mainstream demand which was being exploited by competitors. In order to benefit from this demand, without compromising their exclusive status they created a subsidiary Nao (pronounced now).
Nao produced quality, but more simply made figures, which were made more widely available and in greater numbers and a lower price. Now highly collectable.
This one is titled My Dog Does Tricks and features a young girl playing with a hoop and a puppy. The hoop is not glued in but held in a groove on the base and her hand.
