A comfortable mid century wingback oak chair, this is ideal for the fireside and has been made by one of Derbyshire's best known craftsmen. The Nigel Griffiths family workshop has been producing fine handmade oak furniture since 1946. Nigel's father, Rupert Griffiths, was inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement and sold his furniture through top retail stores, including Harrods.
- Sprung base.
- Panelled back, both sides.
- Visible pegged joints.
- Carved fluted decoration at top of the back, with chipped decoration to the front seat edge.
- Wide arms.
- Removable cushions reupholstered in a yellow fabric, with fire labels.

In good condition showing wear consistent with age and use. The illustrated upholstery has been replaced to include fire labels and the original cushion covers are available separately, if required (see photographs).
