Description
A very nice Staffordshire child's nursery plate with a bold date lozenge on the reverse dated for 1844, on the front is the haymaker carrying his tools of a sythe and rake long with a wooden costrel in the other hand. The plate is unusual as it is octagonal in shape and brightly coloured.
