This is a late 19th/early 20th century golden oak knee-hole desk. The desk is fitted with an arrangement of nine drawers around a central knee-hole. All of the drawers are constructed with oak linings and are fitted with brass locks and a single key. The drawer fronts retain their original turned knob handles. The desk stands on plinth bases that have recessed castors for ease of movement. The desk has a russet coloured replacement leather writing surface edged with gold tooling. The desk bares the stamp of Brown & Lamont cabinet makers in Chester. The desk is constructed as one piece. Knee-hole size - H60cm x W56cm

The desk is in very good condition throughout with no damage. Two drawers have ink staining to the bottom.
