Oak Shakespeare Style Chair

A substantial oak chair dating from the early 20th century, the design influenced by the ‘Shakespeare’ chairs retailed by Liberty (and others) during the arts and crafts period in the late 19th century. A large and attractive chair with curved armrests and a raised and fielded burr oak back panel. The chair is in good condition with a few minor knocks and scratches here and there in accordance with age and use - please see the photos. The chair is structurally sound but has a very slight wobble so may need a bit of something under one leg if it is standing on a hard floor (I think standing it on a carpet or rug would be enough to fix the wobble). This is an antique item and as such may have signs of wear in accordance with its age. Anything that we think is of note will have been mentioned above, but please study the photos carefully to satisfy yourself as to its condition as it is not possible to list every little mark or flaw.
