Oirginal Daum French 1960s / 1970s Crystal Table Lamp

A wonderful, stylish and all totally original (including shade) crystal table lamp with a very striking light brown reeded vertical surrealist design in relief to the front by the most iconic of French glassmakers, Daum, first founded in 1878. The crystal body is of oval section and is clearly signed (etched) Daum France to the front lower right and is in perfect original condition coming as it does, from a private collection having been in the hands of the previous owner quite possibly, since new. The lamp, rectangular shade and fittings are all 100% original and genuine and the flex has been cut for safety purposes and therefore, the new owner will have to get the lamp re-wired by a qualified electrician. It is in very good overall original condition save for one or two very minor 'kinks' commensurate with age although these are hardly visible at all. Being super critical, the shade has some very minor brown spotting marks although again, these are hardly visible (please see images). The overall height of the lamp with the shade on is 47.5cm and it would look fantastic in any 'modern design' setting. The legendary master glassmakers Daum (France) of course are world famous for top quality pieces and indeed have worked with many great artists of the time including Dali, Majorelle, Ecole de Nancy, Arman and Hilton McConnico and with more than 350 exceptional signatures, have constituted a heritage beyond compare.
