Old French Gilt Console or Hall Table This is a very attractive piece, the table has decorative scroll and shell decoration, both to the legs and to the frieze The table top is a scalloped shape with a moulded edge to carry the peach coloured marble top The age darkened gold is worn, revealing much the burgundy undercoat giving the table a chic shabby opulence, the table has only 2 legs and is best fixed to the wall in order to support the weight of the marble top The table is 32” high, 35” wide at the back and 14 deep EB109
