An exceptional, genuine antique oak 5-section "The Oxford" Sectional Bookcase, manufactured in England by Wm. Baker & Co. Ltd. of Oxford circa 1920. A fantastic British rival to the classic Globe Wernicke and Minty stacking systems, this elegant piece features beautiful geometric leaded glass doors and original small brass drop-pull handles. The rich grain of the oak has a wonderful, warm patina that highlights its quality craftsmanship. Original Details: Retains the original paper manufacturer's label on the interior frame: "The 'Oxford' Sectional Bookcase. Sole Proprietors & Manufacturers Wm. Baker & Co. Ltd. Oxford." Glass: Original leaded glazing, all intact. Hardware: Original small brass handles.
