This is a pair of antique andirons. An English, blacksmith made wrought iron fire dog, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1890.
Charming pair of estate made fireplace andirons, with generous proportion, presenting a desirable aged patina and in good original order. Quality, hand wrought iron presents a good, consistent graphite finish. Standing upon distinctive arched front legs beneath a prominent swan neck. Long rear support arms can host baskets up to 48cm in depth.
