Fine period seating, ideal for the reception hall or morning room, displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout. Select stocks present fine grain interest and delightful flame figuring. Benefiting from a recent professional reupholstering. Striking crest rails, with scrolled ends and fine gadrooned finish. Relief carved back rail hosts a central foliate patera and leaf detail. Fluted side supports frame the drop-in seat cushion. Cushion set at a comfortable height of 46cm (18''). Traditionally stuffed seat dressed in a tasteful silk cotton upholstery. In gold and burgundy, the pattern adds to the visual refinement. Superb front legs with gadrooned and cupped finish.
