Description
This pair of antique deep buttoned leather Gainsborough armchairs have fairly large, generous proportions & they have solid mahogany arms, legs & stretchers. They have hump backs, open arms with padded leather tops & cross stretchers between the legs which help give them more strength. The leather itself is original & in excellent condition with a wonderful colour & loads of character. It has just been professionally cleaned & polished by our leather specialist. The leather is also hand tacked onto the frame all over. These library chairs are in great condition all over & I would date them to around the 1950’s period. Please check the measurements, because they are quite large.
