This is a pair of antique single stem vases. A Japanese, hand-painted ceramic baluster flower urn, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1880. Delicately hand-painted decor from the early Meiji period displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order. Quality ceramic with an antique white ground over bulbous baluster form. Charming bird and flower motif accentuate the vase with a light blue wash. Red character marks to the base of each vase. This is a sweet pair of antique single stem vases, with an appealing decorative finish, ideal for collectors of Japanese taste. Delivered ready to enjoy.
