Beautiful pair of carved limewood Stags protecting their Fawns from Eagles.
Made in Geneva Switzerland at the turn of the 19th/20th century, though often known as 'Black Forest' from an earlier woodcarving tradition.
In good condition with some old restoration, the rare pair of carvings measure 8 inches (20cm) in height. circa 1895-1910. Made in Switzerland.
