Good pair of early Georgian oak cabriole leg hand chairs. Cabriole legs to the front with square chamfered legs to the back. Nice shape backs with pierced splats and shaped top rail. Unusual feature of high turned stretchers underneath gives these chairs great strength. Rush seats. Both chairs are a lovely colour with waxed finish. There are almost invisible old repairs to the back legs at the base. The rush seating is OK but fraying in places. SIZE; 18" across by 15" deep by 38" high overall. Seat height is 17" CIRCA; 1740
