Description
These are a lovely pair of antique sterling silver cauldron salt cellars made by David Hennell I and hallmarked in London 1759. They are in very good condition and stand firmly on 3 hoofed feet. The interiors have been richly re-gilded and are in perfect condition. Hallmarks are clearly struck on the bases and are identical on both salts.
A fine pair of Georgian silver salts from this famous family of silversmiths (NB any shadows shown in the photographs are merely reflections).
