Description
A lovely pair of "solid" cast sugar tongs, with large five lobe shell bowls, with the arms cast with classic decoration and the bows with Adam style decoration, with a marriage betrothal of L over A E. Attributed to Thomas Wallis 1st.

As with a lot of these tongs, it appears the bow has been re-soldered to the arms. Makers mark and Lion passant clear.
