A pair of late Victorian silver novelty owl vases, Sydney Blunt & Frederick Dendy Wray, London. each bird standing erect with trumpet mouth to the vase. Notes This is the mark for Blunt, Wray & Co. The quality and condition look very nice but these are very small as vases and so might possibly have been tapersticks. Owl novelties are always very popular with collectors, though earlier ones from the mid-19th century will be more expensive.
