Description
A pair of c1960's solid beech bank of drawers. Originally made for the school sector by James Leonard these chests feature 20 drawers each with small cut outs to act as pulls. Later replaced backs and turned tapered legs.
Can be used as two pairs or one set of legs can be unscrewed and stacked to make one bank of 40 drawers.
Stunning examples with a lovely golden beech patina. Please note, being old school furniture some ink, paint, marks etc is still visible as is the faint numbering on each drawer which adds to the charm!

condition
All of our furniture is treated, fully restored and sealed before painting. We have established a high reputation for our choice of colours and finishes.
Using flat matt emulsion finished with a variety of waxes, this is combined with a sympathetic and authentic distressed finish appropriate to each selected piece.
We try to match the right colour to the material; whether pine, oak or mahogany and also to the style of the piece; whether country wear or town house living etc.
We now use Farrow & Ball 'Dead Flat Matt' paint, a premium paint offered by the famous Farrow & Ball to provide the best matt finish in their incredible range of colours. The colour used on a particular piece of furniture will be in the item description.
*Please check on the paint companies website or with a colour chart to see a reference to the colour of this item, as it is difficult to capture the true colour when photographing for listing online. Although we do our best to adjust the images accordingly.*
