A pair of large possibly Chinese in origin Onyx Lion Book Ends with a slight greenish tone.
These are so difficult to place an accurate date and very difficult to establish their origins but I would guess mid twentieth century. Each Lion sits on a base with angled sides carved as a book with pages clearly shaped.
