Pair of Silver Plated Victorian Wedding Spoons in Fitted Case
Secure Payments By
A lovely pair of silver plated dessert spoons in their original fitted leather case. These were often given as wedding presents. Beautiful shell design. The velvet & silk-lined fitted case is from a Scottish retailer and bears the Royal Appointment Crest with a Victorian Crown. The maker, Allen & Darwin were based in Hatton Garden, London, from 1893 and in Sheffield from 1898. The mark A & D (S) indicates the spoons were made in Sheffield and given the Victorian crest on the box this must have been between 1898 & 1901.
