A stylish and extremely well made pair of adjustable rise and fall floor lamps in brass. These were made in Spain by Metalarte, they were designed by George Hansen and date from around the 1970-1980’s. The quality is amazing, they have a very clever and useful design. Both have a rise and fall mechanism which allows the height to be adjusted. They also have articulated necks, so the lamp shades can be spun out and extending to various angles. MEASUREMENTS Width base – 28 cm , 11 inches Width overall – 36 cm , 14 inches Lowest height to socket – 117 cm , 46 inches Tallest height to socket – 153 cm , 60 inches
Marylebone Antiques has clarified that the Pair of Vintage Brass Floor Lamps by George Hansen for Metalarte (LA378564) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being 1970-1980’s
They are both in good working order and are in very good condition for their age. One has more surface wear to the brass finish than the other, mostly on the base and seen in the image. We have paired these with new cream shades which are in excellent condition.
