An engraved cast brass bezel with convex glass and standing on brass ball feet. An arched glass back door. A convex dial with blued steel hands signed 'Parkinson & Frodsham, London'. A strike/silent lever to the top of the dial. A quality double fusee mechanism striking the hours on a bell of 8-day duration. Signed 'Parkinson & Frodsham London' to the backplate and border engraving. A good quality steel and brass pendulum with engraving. A pendulum transportation lock. Parkinson & Frodsham are recorded in Baillies' 'Watchmakers & Clockmakers of The World' book as working from 1801-1850.
