A lovely antique Georgian sterling silver dessert fork made by Paul Storr and hallmarked in London 1817. It is in very good condition with no repair or damage. Clearly struck hallmarks. The pattern is Kings Double Shell and Laurel and the decoration is on both sides. On the reverse side the laurel leaves extend to the curvature of the tines and is finished with a double leaf decoration. Also to the reverse is an armorial with a Latin motto and scrolled initials. The fork has been made with a good gauge of silver and has a very solid feel. Paul Storr was the finest English silversmith of the 19th century, held appointments to several kings and as such is highly collectible. Weight 65 gms Length 17 cms FREE INSURED POSTAGE WORLDWIDE
