Description
A lovely and heavy antique Georgian sterling silver salver made by Paul Storr and hallmarked in London 1815. It is in very good condition with just one minor repair, not easily seen but mentioned for accuracy. The decoration consists of scrolls creating 6 panels and each of these panels is individually decorated and leaving a central cartouche which has never been inscribed. A very attractive shell and scroll border and the salver sit firmly on 3 tall hoofed feet. Hallmarks are clearly struck. This is a fine silver salver made by Paul Storr who is regarded as the finest English silversmith of the 19th century and who was silversmith to a succession of kings and other royalty. **NB any shadows shown in the photographs are merely reflections**
