This is a fine and substantial antique William IV sterling silver sugar bowl made by Paul Storr and hallmarked in London 1835. It is in very good condition and quite substantial.. It sits firmly on 4 scrolled feet and has an impressive crest and intertwined initials surmounted by a crown. There is a scalloped rim with scroll decoration and scroll handles with further applied silver decoration. The interior retains its rich original gilding and hallmarks are clearly struck. Paul Storr is regarded as the finest English silversmith of the 19th century, provided many items for royalty and his pieces are highly collectible.
