This is an 18th Century sterling antique silver basting spoon with good hallmarks, showing the spoon was made by Peter and Ann Bateman, assayed in London in 1791.
As a matter of hallmarking interest, this spoon was made in the first year of their partnership.
The terminal is engraved with stylised initials.
