A handsome pair of French leather armchairs, with elegant tapered legs, studding to the perimeters, and original velvet to both the cushions and reverse. An unusual and particularly petite model, with a rolled and pleated back. Lovely colour and patination to the leather, and all joints are solid and firm. The seats have been completely re-done by my upholsterer, with new webbing and new seat covers both top and bottom, whilst retaining the lovely gently worn original velvet. Some wear to both the velvet and leather consistent with age, but in remarkable shape for a century of use, and despite the modest size, very comfortable with their feather-filled cushions.
