Piguet Wrist Watch Box Rare Dark Green Display Presentation Vintage

Original vintage Piguet rare dark green wrist watch box with unusual spring loaded lid. C ~1950's / 1960's. (Wrist watches shown are for display purposes only and NOT included). Measures; 22cm (8 1/4") length, 4.5cm (1 3/4") width and 2.5cm (1") height. Textured dark bottle green leatherette outer with gold banding to either end. Ivory satin to the internal lid (little bit of marking and age patina, but no rips or tears) which is clearly stamped in gold script; C.F. PIGUET & SONS TROY ESTABLISHED 1897 JOHANNESBURG. Un-marked bottle green recessed velvet base (watches shown measure 3.2cm width respectively including their crowns and this is the maximum size the box will take). Brass catch to front which when depressed allows the spring loaded lid to open up - this action is very positive and correct. Two large brass hinges to the opposite side which are true and firm with absolutely no play. Lovely condition with just a little bit of 'drawer' wear and patina commensurate with age.
