Pocket Watch: 1933 Silver Half Hunter Pocket Watch - J W Benson

The watch has a Swiss 15-jewel stem-winding movement, identified as by Cyma, which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the name of the original high end retailer, J W Benson. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has a little unevenness. The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the three covers for Birmingham 1933, with a case maker’s mark for the Birmingham case maker Aaron Dennison. The case is in good condition, just the odd small mark but nothing too serious at all. The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside, there is an acrylic lens which has a light mark if you look closely. The signed dial is in lovely condition with blued steel hands, including the special half hunter hour hand so that the time can be read when the front cover is closed.
